IMPORTANT! Please follow instructions carefully.
1. COMPARE:
Compare your old seal to the new one to make sure that the new seal will do the job. Remember, old seals are squashed and your new sponge rubber is very forgiving in the case of slight differences in shape.
2. PREPARATION:
After the two seals have been compared, remove and clean off any old adhesive. Also clean the trunk groove thoroughly of any old rubber. It is usually not necessary to remove old weatherstrip cement if the trunk seal attaches to the gutter.
3. ADHESIVE:
Follow the instructions carefully on the weatherstrip adhesive package. Remember to use the adhesive sparingly to achieve the best results. Recommended: 3M #08008 black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive, available at your local auto parts store.
