IMPORTANT! Please follow instructions carefully.

Four clips are packaged with your new set of Molded Door Seals. Because of slight variations, we’ve found that between the years 1966-1967, proper fit of the molded ends of these door seals has to be done at the time of installation. The molded end (two black clips per side) is attached to extruded weatherstripping (with pre-installed white clips). Follow these steps carefully:

1. PLACEMENT: Install first white clip (clip closest to door seal end), of extruded weatherstripping, into your door. Then lay molded door seal end snuggly into position.
2. INSTALLATION OF CLIPS: Center punch marks to locate clips have been marked on molded end. This will give you a close, if not exact, location for clips. TOP CENTER PUNCH MARK (see diagram) should be good on either model year, but REAR CENTER PUNCH MARK (see diagram) may need a 1/8” adjustment for proper fit. After you have the molded end laying snuggly in place, mark proper position of clips by punching through rubber with a sharp wire. Push black clips through rubber into their proper position. Complete installation using adhesive as noted below.
3. ADHESIVE: In order to achieve the longest life and best sealing qualities from your new Molded Door Seals, we highly recommend the use of black weatherstrip adhesive on end areas and between pins on main seal. These areas are subject to intense pressure and shear. The use of weatherstrip adhesive will take strain off of the clips and screws. Follow instructions carefully on weatherstrip adhesive package. Remember to use the adhesive sparingly to achieve the best results. Recommended: 3M #08008 black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive.
